In the novel's future, human consciousness is uploaded to a cloud-based system called Silver Shell. Sensory experience gradually degrades, and emotions are digitized, ultimately becoming fragments of data easily forgotten and deleted. While technology preserves our memories, it also reshapes and distorts the original nature of our emotions.

Taking A Cyborg Manifesto as its intellectual starting point, this project views human beings as "cyborgs" already intertwined with technology—where emotions, memories, and perceptions are simultaneously generated and reside in both the cloud and the body. From the perspective of the Ethics of Care, the project transforms "care" from a private emotion into a resistance against data-driven systems. Through Speculative Design, the project explores imagined future scenarios of alternative emotions and social possibilities using fiction and critical projection. It invites collective reflection and shared imagination regarding emotional connection and care within the human-machine coexistence of hybrid realities.
